The TempKi (aka: Temporary Kitchen) was featured in The Seattle Times on Saturday, February 16, 2019. The article is entitled: “Who says you have to suffer through your kitchen remodel?” and showcases the benefits the TempKi can provide homeowners during the duration of a kitchen remodel. As members of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties we have the privilege to contribute to their weekly NW Homes section in The Seattle Times.
In this article, we wanted to discuss the creative solution we came up with to solve the problem of being without a kitchen during an extended period of time. The principle behind having a kitchen remodel done is to enjoy the living space. In order to complete a renovation and create the desired living space, there has to be some disruption to the normal life of the homeowners. We decided that one way we can serve our clients well is by taking the intended purpose of a kitchen remodel and applying it to the renovation process. The result was the TempKi, the neat temporary kitchen arrangement that allows a family to have the normal uses of a kitchen for their daily life, while their normal kitchen is being renovated.
